Do You Need a Website for Business In 2019?

If you’ve done anything business related in the past, and wanted to expand it online, you’ve probably heard that you need to have a website in order to succeed. But is it still the case? Keep reading and you will find out.

Perks of Having a Website

Let’s say you own a company and want to appear more profesional online. You want people to find you, contact you, and become your customers. It is your online business card and your front desk. Being present on the Internet is crucial to stay in the game, as traditional media are not that popular anymore. Well, when was the last time you bought a physical copy of a newspaper and carefully read the ads? Also, when it comes to TV, less and less people watch it, and if they do, they skip the commercials. Buying ads in conventional media is expensive and not very effective. Creating an online site seems far more reasonable, but I’d say it’s time to take a step further!

The Death of a Website

Do you need a website for your business

Okay, if running a website is so beneficial, then why would you get rid of it? Websites can often be messy and confusing, as there are multiple menu tabs, categories, sub categories etc. Information about your company are all over the place, and contact details are sometimes hard to find. So what’s the alternative? It’s a sales funnel aka something that will make your business way more successful than any website would.

But What is a Funnel?

Sales Funnel is a marketing activity that leads the customer directly to sales with a step by step strategy. It gives the client a personalized experience and its aim is focused on making them happy with your services by adding value to each step of the funnel. How does it work? People sign up for your mailing list and receive an email with an offer. If they use the offer, they get another one with added value. For example, you are a beautician and offer a 25% discount on a manicure, if the client signs up for your list. Then they receive their discount coupon via email and there is also an offer to buy the kit with skincare essentials. If they buy, they get another offer with more products. If they don’t, you offer them your kit again.

How to Create a Funnel – ClickFunnels

You may think that you need to be experienced and tech savvy in order to build a funnel. Well, there is a wonderful tool that allows you to create it from the scratch with no coding experience whatsoever. ClickFunnels is a service, where you can easily build your own funnels. The menu is intuitive, novice-friendly, and they have plenty of templates to choose from. You can find numerous video tutorials, tips and tricks, and step by step guides on their website. The service is subscription based, however, now you can try it out for free, as they offer a 14 day trial.

What makes it better than Website?

As I already mentioned, a funnel gives your customers a great experience, as the communication is intended directly for them. By getting a well designed email, they have all the necessary information in one place and they don’t have to look for them on your website. Searching for information can be time consuming and it discourages people from using your services. Funnels are precisely focused on one thing (for example sales), and that’s what makes them great. Your clients get a variety of offers and the chances they purchase something is slightly higher, when they have your guidance. Convinced? Then give it a go!
