How to run your fanpage on Facebook

You probably wonder, is there any universal way to step up your Facebook game and upgrade your engagement? Unfortunately, there is no such way, however, in this article, I will try to give you a couple of tricks and tips that can help you achieve success on this platform.

Good impression matters

The most important thing about running a fanpage on social media is to gain the trust of your audience. Post interesting photos, creative content etc. It depends on you if you treat is really seriously, or have fun with it, but remember that the more work you put into it, the better results you get. Also, show your other side; your posts should draw attention and inspire. You have only one chance to make a great first impression. People don’t forget and rarely give second chances.

Call to action

It is probably the most essential thing about Facebook. It has an impact not only on you, but also on the whole fanpage. Thanks to this, you increase your reach, the algorithm promotes your posts, and they have more engagement. Ask questions, so people can leave comments and start a discussion. Give them some puzzle to solve, or make a poll. You have many options to boost your engagement, just use your imagination.

Discounts for your fans

If you run an online shop, it would be a great idea to offer your audience a discount. Special promo codes or discounts for the people who follow your page are a great way to increase your reach. It is up to you how many of them you organize and what kind of products will be featured.

Fans’ support

Your target group is a real asset. They can make your page come up higher in search results. If you want them to help you, ask them to review your product, give you feedback etc. You can also ask them to send you a picture of them wearing an item from your merch line. Give them shoutouts, publish fanart, encourage them to be a part of the community you’ve created.

Talk to your fans

Don’t forget that your followers need attention. Talk to them in the comments about different topics you can relate to. From time to time, there will be some negative comments. Read them, but if they are offensive, don’t let them get to you. Do not remove them, as there is one simple rule to life: if they don’t criticize you, then you accomplished nothing. Also, you can use critique to improve your work and give your audience a better experience.

Integrate your social media

Facebook and Instagram are really compatible, so it is worth to integrate both of your accounts. Remember about high quality photos, as they need to draw your followers’ attention. Without them, you won’t succeed on Instagram. You can read about it (here). As Instagram is owned by Facebook, your reach can be increased, because those two platforms work together really well. You also save time, because you can publish content on both services at the same time!

Show your different side

Try to present yourself to your audience from the other side, give them backstage materials, document the life in your office, or just show them around. People are curious by nature, and this will spark their curiosity about your work. Presenting your job from a different perspective, will gain you more page views, boost your engagement, and help people to understand you more.

How to run a Facebook page?

We can come across many different ways of running social media. Look at famous profiles; people can be very creative, so allow them to inspire you. Do what everyone else does, but much better! If it works, then why not? You can also choose to stand out from the crowd, and make your fanpage unique.
